Sandra & Sofia's story...

OFFERINGS & RETREAT INFO...

Sandra's passion is the sharing of love & care.

Starting her Yoga journey in her early 20's after studies in P.E at Buenos Aries University, Argentina Sandra's home country . She has an extensive professional fitness background stretching over 35 years that  has left her with a deep understanding of safe & beneficial movement for the body.

Across the last 20 years in the UK she has taught Yoga to all walks of life from pre natal to baby yoga, toddlers, children, schools, teens, care homes & to a range of peoples individual needs, in an array of settings. This has left her with a clear vision of how Yoga can form & adapt to benefit all walks of life. Underpinning all her work is a deep desire to help spirits of all levels, reach a more happy & balanced state of being. 


Sandra's accent, soothing voice & words from the heart cannot be forgotten. Her unbounded energy & wealth of experience makes each session an eclectic mix of many influences.

Woven together to create a unique dynamic & innovative style. She invites & integrates creative expression & movement in to her work. Connecting people to their inner rhythm & fluidity.

Her motherly nature welcomes everybody to explore their body & tune  into what it is saying. Making it clear that everything is simply a guidance & invitation. Working within your own limitations & learning to acknowledge them is key to safe Yoga & wellbeing.


 All classes commence with a grounding & long awakening warm up. Leaving the joints lubricated & the body prepared to work deeper during class. Often working within a theme, Sandra's offerings of nourishing movement integrate the power of the breath throughout.
All woven together with positive affirmations, guided meditations, beautiful visualisation's & empowering mantra's & mudra's. Join in & you will find she culminates sessions with soothing, transporting sound baths. 

Each session with Sandra is a journey & creates a full mind, body & spirit work out. Her work is full of positivity & connects you to the beauty of the world & life within & around us. 


Together...

The mother daughter duo are based in the Wyre Forest area of Worcestershire. Sofia, also Yoga trained, assists in the creating, organising & facilitating of workshops, retreats & immersive transformative Yoga, meditation & well being holidays around the UK & internationally. Their support & connection of one another makes everything possible.

Together they invite people to join them on their YogaVenture's; explorations & offerings, holding safe sacred space for anybody that wishes to join them. You will also find them sharing their work in Yoga festivals & shows across England. Such as 'World Yoga Festival' & the 'Om Yoga shows'.

Over the years Sandra has collected & created her own  on the go pop up studio of over 70 Yoga mats, comfy cushions, soothing lavender eye pillows a plethora of sarongs, blocks, magical decorations & adornments. They take this to many different locations, quickly transforming any space they work in, to a beautiful Yoga shala!

They often invite different teachers & healers to share their work & wisdoms at their events & retreats. To help widen people's breath of experience & bring people in to contact with new techniques/paths to wellness & balance.
Each of us offer such a different perspective & sharing in life. Bringing people together within this world made up of such vast array of differences is something they truly cherish & feel very grateful in being able to do!

Trained in Indian head & Ayurveda massage, along with practising other techniques such as Thai, they integrate this wonderful work into their classes, workshops & retreats, through solo, partner & group work, teaching self love & opening the heart to receive.

They love to attend Yoga, dance & well being holistic happenings together, through workshops, retreats, festivals & courses. Learning, sharing, dancing & connecting with others as they flow through life.

  Corporate well being & training days with their pop up studio is an area they have much experience in creating, hosting  & offering. Normally involving schools, offices, work places & big companies; students, teachers, & staff teams. Sofia usually going along to assist & co facilitate.

Sandra has  shared many Yoga hen parties & more tailor made sessions, so feel free to get in touch if you have any ideas you wish to work together on!


Retreat info... 

What all their YogaVenture retreats have in common is that they are normally set in high energy spaces with beatiful surroundings & histories to explore...

Locally to them...Eco built & sustainable buildings, normally surrounded by nature & often in forests. 
UK retreats 3-4 days have been in locations such as 'The Chalice well gardens' retreat house of Glastonbury over several Beltane weekends in the past.

International trips include...
An annual Sahara Safari tour across magical Morroco, then unique immersive & transformative trips to exotic locations such as Cuba, Bali, India & more...


Their international holidays stretch from 7 to10 days together experiencing holistic happenings.
There will be short get always coming soon also & European locations too! 

All the further a field journeys are created to be truly immersive experiences. So yes their is plenty of down time & relaxation, but the itineraries are jam packed with much to do, learn & venture into. All of course an invitation, for those who wish to miss an activity here & there to relax by a pool, the sea, get a massage or read a book...


You will find yourself staying in a few locations. Mingling with the locals & their craft markets. (Sandra's & Sofia's ability in other languages comes in handy at this point!) Exploring the history & how the culture of the area has changed & been influenced over the years with guided tours with locals. Visits to temples & palaces (often guided). Visits in to nature. At some point normally some dancing :)  Sunrise Yoga sessions. Meditations under the stars before bed & so much more.

Whether it is solo travellers or friends joining their YogaVenture's everybody soon becomes a tribe, bouncing off one another & leave feeling a family. Sometimes even having meet ups to reconnect & share again.
Everybody is welcome no matter your Yoga experience/ability. Together they cater for everybody's needs! They have much repeat custom, as people find the experiences so enjoyable. 
Ages have ranged from 19 to 79.


Trainings...

Sandra...


Sandra began her Yoga training early 20's with Oscar Bonifacio in Argentina & began teaching in the Uk 20 years ago. After settling here with her 2 children, for their education after summer & winter seasons in the French Alpes. She did a 200 hour course in Hi Ki yoga 15 years ago. Has done a freestyle fitness Yoga course, Buff bones training. She has also been a swimming instructor, steps, aqua & land aerobics.
 Multi lingual Sandra speaks Spanish, English, French Italian & bits in others) having lived & taught fitness & well being along with being an activity coordinator & running her own kids summer camps in many different countries & languages.

She still teaches one auqa-aerobics class a week with some of her regular students having attended for over 19 years!

Sofia...


Sofia with a background in dance, grew up surrounded by Yoga, often going to Sandra's classes from a very young age. Experiencing, observing  & helping her Mother with events, workshops & retreats since they began, she feels has been her greatest teacher. 
Sofia travelled to Rishiskesh, India at the start of 2016, said to be the home of Yoga, to delve into Yoga deeper & get a 200 hour YTT, to deepen her understanding & as a foundation for her own Yoga sharing. 
More recently before their last Indian YogaVenture at the start of February 2018 she attended the 'Womb Yoga' course created by & held by Uma Dinsmore Tuli & co facilitated with Sivani Matta. A course on all things woman & how Yoga can be used in women's wellness therapy & to support them at each stage & cycle of their life. 
She feels her own Yoga journey is just commencing & is currently covering her friends classes as she has a baby.

Working in much the same style as her mother.

Sofia also works at festivals across the UK during the summer months, dancing (normally barefoot) & connecting with people every where she goes.
Often taking her free sensory interactive stall along... A space for all to come & explore sound, vision, colour & texture, through her sharing of 'stuff'... instruments, fancy dress, tribal paints & more.
She is particularly in love with the love with the element of water...


Together...

They are together are continually attending CPD courses & immersion workshops for teachers with some of their inspirations... Nisha Srivastava, Uma Dinsmore Tuli, Tanja Mickwitz, Shiva Rea,  & a variety of others, to constantly widen their wisdom, experience & practice. 
Also trained in Indian head & Ayurvedic massage.


Matias Sandra's son & Sofia's brother also goes along on their Yogaventures sometimes, sharing, dancing with them, capturing through film & photography & even sometimes guiding a meditation or playing music.
